Equine Law
Our office offers comprehensive representation for all equine law matters, with particular expertise in issues affecting the American Quarter Horse community and issues involving the AQHA. With practitioners who are true horsemen themselves, we understand the range of industry issues, and are equipped to provide advice and counsel for matters ranging from major equine litigation to day-to-day transactions.
Lee Smith is a former Director of the Ohio Quarter Horse Association and has prosecuted cases on behalf of the Ohio Quarter Horse Association. He has represented individuals in administrative hearings as well as in civil litigation matters related to horses. Specifically, he has appeared before the American Quarter Horse Association, the National Snaffle Bit Association, the Palomino Horse Breeders Association, and in various Common Pleas Courts and Courts of Appeal in Ohio as it relates to equine law matters.
Lee also served on the Ohio Exposition Commission for two terms. He was Chairman of the Ohio State Fair Board for three years.
Lee is listed on the all-time leading breeders list of halter horses and pleasure horses with the American Quarter Horse Association. He is currently involved in breeding and exhibiting halter horses and pleasure horses.
